Replacing culverts on a section of Arkansas 234 in Little River County will require closing it to through traffic for up to a month beginning Thursday, the Arkansas Department of Transportation said.
Crews will close a 10-mile section of Arkansas 234 between Arkansas 41 and Arkansas 108 to replace the culverts at Hurricane Creek beginning at 9 a.m., weather permitting.
The section will be closed to through traffic until the work is complete, which is estimated to take 30 days, the department said.
Traffic will be controlled with signs and traffic barrels.
About 420 vehicles travel on that section of Arkansas 234 daily, according to agency data.
