Car Club

Foothills of the Ozarks Car Club will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at Colton's Steak House in Rogers. Members will meet for dinner at 6 p.m.

The Bella Vista Radio Club will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at Highland Christian Church in Bella Vista. Ham radio enthusiasts or those interested in learning about amateur radio are welcome.

Miata Club

The Northwest Arkansas Miata Club will meet at 9 a.m. Saturday at Golden Corral in Rogers for breakfast, followed by a meeting of fellow Mazda Miata enthusiasts. Anyone with a Mazda Miata is welcome to attend and join the club.

Garden Club

The Garden Club of Rogers will hold its general meeting at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 6 at the First Presbyterian Church at New Hope Road and 26th Street. The program will be "Pickin' Up Seeds, Puttin' 'Em In Our Pockets," and the speaker will be Rose Gergerich.

Gergerich is a plant disease specialist, retired plant pathologist and Master Naturalist. She will have a PowerPoint presentation that will take viewers from collecting native plant seeds through starting native plants from seed.

Lunch will be served, and reservations are required by Thursday. There will also be a horticulture report, a drawing for plant of the month, and pass-along plants and magazines.

Blood Cancer

This supportive and educational group is for adult patients, caregivers, families and friends coping with leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, MDS or other blood cancers. The group meets from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 12 at Hope Cancer Resources in Springdale.

Cemetery

The new Woods Cemetery Assocation will meet at 5 p.m. Feb. 13 at 1428 W. Walnut in Rogers. The group's goal is to bring together descendants and friends of those buried in the Woods Cemetery for the purpose of keeping the history of those pioneer settlers of Benton County alive, genealogy and preservation and maintenance of the cemetery. There are 16 known families buried in the Woods Cemetery: Black, Braithwaite, Campbell, Cavness, Deason, Dickson, Ellis, Faucett, Kelton, Landers, Maxwell, Pierce, Sprague, Stroud, Weeks and Woods.

Because many of the families buried in Woods Cemetery have families buried elsewhere, information on Ricketts, Robbins, Old Dickson and Mt. Eden/Maxwell cemeteries will be made available as needed. Quarterly newsletters will highlight the history of the families buried here, with photos and stories, which the association will get from members.

Iota Alpha

The Iota Alpha Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi will meet at 9:30 a.m. Feb. 14 at the home of Pat Golden.

Artists

The Bella Vista Decorative Artists meet at 9 a.m. the second Saturday of each month for a business meeting and painting session at Wishing Spring Studio at 8862 W. McNelly Road, next to Walgreens. The purpose of the chapter is to stimulate interest and appreciation for the art of painting.

BVDA also does a variety of service projects. This year, the chapter is working with the Village House in Bella Vista, Children's Shelter and making memory boxes for local hospitals.

Each month BVDA has a chapter member or a visiting national artist teach an art project in acrylics, oils, watercolor or mixed mediums. Painters of all skill levels make up the chapter.

Barbershop

Pride of the Ozarks Barbershop Chorus meets from 7 to 9 p.m. every Thursday at Innisfree Senior Living Community, 300 Innisfree Circle in Rogers. Males of any age, color or creed who enjoy a capella singing are welcome and invited. Vocal music experience is helpful.

Toastmasters

Twin Lakes Toastmasters Club in Fayetteville will deliver the skills and confidence people need to effectively express themselves in any situation. The club meets at 6:30 p.m. every Monday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1021 W. Sycamore St. in Fayetteville.

Codependents

A new 12-step group, Codependents Anonymous, will begin meetings at 5:30 p.m. each Wednesday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 224 N. East Ave. in Fayetteville. There are no dues or fees for CoDA membership.

Red Hat Society

The Red Hat Society is a group for women created to connect like-minded women, make new friends and enrich lives through the power of fun and friendship.

Flickering Flames is a Northwest Arkansas-based group that meets the second Wednesday of each month at an area restaurant. Women ages 50 and up are invited to join us. There are no dues.
