FAYETTEVILLE -- Police arrested Parker Aneal, 23, in connection with two shootings this month.

Police responded to a report of gunshots at 1:40 a.m. Jan. 17 near North Gregg Avenue and Wren Circle and didn't find anyone. Detectives later found four shell casings at the scene.

Officers went to Washington Regional Medical Center at 3:25 a.m. after a man arrived with a gunshot wound. The man was unable to provide details about his injuries because of the severity of his condition, according to a police news release.

About 1:47 a.m. Jan. 19, shots were fired at 3001 W. Wedington Drive No. 66. The building was struck by numerous bullets, and no one was injured, according to a press release.

Detectives found evidence the two shootings were related and identified Aneal as the suspect. The shootings involved an ongoing feud between Aneal and the man who was shot, according to a press release.

Detectives arrested Aneal on Tuesday afternoon during a traffic stop. They found a 10mm shell casing, 10mm ammunition, a 9mm handgun that was listed as stolen from Tulsa, Okla., and a Xanax pill, according to a press release.

Police found five more weapons, 145 grams of marijuana wax, 10 grams of marijuana, other pills and 1 ounce of codeine at Aneal's residence at 131 E. Dunbar Lane No. 202, according to the release.

Aneal was being held Wednesday at the Washington County Detention Center with no bond set.
