Western Grove outscored Bruno Pyatt 17-8 in the third quarter to pull away and claim a 2A/1A District 2 victory Monday night.
Sophomore Hailey Woods had 14 of her 17 points in the first half for Western Grove (11-16), which led 33-26 at halftime before pulling out to a 50-34 cushion heading into the fourth quarter.
Gravette 53, Lincoln 37
Kyrstin Branscum had 19 points as Gravette grabbed a 31-23 halftime lead and went on to defeat Lincoln in a rescheduled 4A/3A District 1 game Saturday night in Gravette.
Jessica Bookout added 10 for the Lady Lions (16-4), who led 39-28 after three quarters. Tristan Cunningham and Hollie Webb each had eight points for Lincoln (11-10).
Elkins 45, West Fork 25
Sophie Hollingsworth scored 18 points to lead Elkins past West Fork.
Sarah Parrish added eight points for Elkins (13-6, 8-4), which led 20-8 at halftime. Savannah White had five points for West Fork (9-10, 4-5).
Boys
Elkins 67, West Fork 54
Elkins placed four players in double figures Friday in its win over West Fork.
Ethan Hipps led the way with 20 points while sophomore Quinn McClain followed with 17. Chad Graham added 12 and Layne Evans 10 for the Elks (15-5, 9-3), who led 33-25 at halftime. Justin Bivens scored 13 to lead West Fork (6-13, 2-10).
Jasper 53, Mount Judea 38
Jasper outscored Mount Judea 18-9 in the fourth quarter to pull away and claim a 2A/1A District 1 victory Friday.
Sophomore Caleb Carter had 26 points to lead Jasper (9-15, 5-2), which led 25-18 at halftime but had its lead cut to 35-29 by the end of the third quarter.
