Seem attracted to evil

Just like Eve and that apple, humanity hasn’t changed its spots like the leopard, or its stripes like the tiger. Even this publication seems to be attracted to evil. I only buy your newspaper for my husband so he might not lose his desire to read, and to help start the fire in our stove.

In my opinion, you give new meaning to the word ”taint” in the printing of your liberal views of the news. Your disrespect for our president is rather ridiculous since he won this state. Guess you haven’t noticed all the conservative Democrats/Republicans coming out of the closets in this state of opportunity.

Trump a loose cannon

Why would anyone get upset or pay any attention to a loose cannon like Donald Trump? I think the man’s mental state should be in question. He says things to get attention from not being able to run this country. I believe he would sell his soul to the devil for a nickel. As an old man Trump is trying to get something he did not get as a child, and that is love.

Look how many times he has been married; he cannot lay that blame on Hillary or Obama. I am quite sure he would if he could because he is obsessed with Obama and Hillary. It seems Trump is jealous of these two people; they are smart lawyers who were not born with a sinful spoon in their mouths.

Money does not make you smart, but it can make you a fool. Owning casinos and hotels does not make you smart. Donald Trump is good at things like sticking his nose where it does not belong. Things like nitpicking at North Korea, football, blaming Obama and Hillary, and how can we forget his lying. I have seen and heard liars, but Donald is the biggest I have ever heard. We all know where liars go when they die. The Bible says, “But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.” Trump’s lying has gotten him where he is today, and it will end one day.

We’re stuck with him

Tom Cotton is not a leader. Unfortunately Arkansas is stuck with him for several more years. The fact that he cannot “recall” what the president of the United States said at a closed meeting concerning immigration means that he is either hard of hearing or a liar—I vote for liar!

Indication of priorities

The state of Arkansas has plenty of money to shell out millions to current and former UA football coaches, but no money to retain 600 health-care positions at UAMS. This is an incredible indication of the disgusting priorities of the residents of Arkansas. Go Hogs!

Cotton in Tom’s ears?

I don’t believe Sen. Tom Cotton’s denial that he heard the president’s remarkably racist comments. I can believe, however, that the senator immediately filtered those comments into the mindset that he and his fellow elitists in this country have tried to grapple with ever since the 1950 census: White supremacy (aka alt-right, neo-Nazi, eurocentrism) is at risk as the people of color (aka black, Latino, Asian, Middle Eastern) are swiftly gaining a majority of the ballot-box-power in much of the nation.

So I do not call Senator Cotton a liar, but note that he apparently has not even admitted that he believes those honorable senators that have stated they heard and condemn the comments.

It’s time to step up, Senator. Your unabashed and servile fidelity to Donald Trump has already disqualified you from any future national office, and I promise to travel all of Arkansas to seek your defeat in this state. At best, I believe your future in politics will be a mirror of another shallow-minded and empty-headed senator of the “Old South,” Jeff Sessions.

Who Trump really is

I voted for Donald Trump and, like many others, I have a serious case of buyer’s remorse.

His behavior in office has been a travesty. Much has been made lately about his mental state. There is evidence that he is not capable of executing his duties, and there’s been an lot of armchair psychoanalyzing about this. Maybe there is some merit to these claims, but in my estimation it misses the reality.

The problem is not that he might be mentally impaired. The problem is that he is a sociopath. This is not a psychiatric diagnosis. This is a character flaw. He does whatever he pleases without any concern for the effect it has on others. Empathy is conspicuous by its absence. He exhibits that chameleon-like ability to act as though he has a conscience, but it is all a way of conning others into giving him what he wants. What he wants is obedience and fawning subservience from all of us.

He made us believe he is a man of the people. He is not.

Already have source

It does not make sense to ask Arkansans to approve three new casinos, one of which is to be located in Jefferson County.

Part of the revenue will be used to finance highway construction. I suggest that a better source of highway funds is to raise the tax on gasoline and diesel fuel. The mechanism to collect the tax already exists, and the cost would be borne by the vehicles that use the highways, including out-of-state drivers.
