Possible light snow in central, eastern Arkansas as second front approaches

LITTLE ROCK -- Forecasters say parts of eastern and central Arkansas could see light snow to start the week as another cold front is expected to move across the state.

The National Weather Service in Little Rock says the front is expected to move across the state by Monday afternoon and will create enough moisture to cause the snow later that evening. Forecasters say up to 1 inch of accumulation is possible.

The weather service says another cold area of high pressure will build behind Monday's front, keeping temperatures below normal through the middle of next week.

The start of a winter storm that moved across the U.S. on Friday left an icy glaze across eastern Arkansas that snarled traffic and closed schools.
