Oklahoma man sentenced for sex abuse of boy

FAYETTEVILLE -- Brandon Jackson of Proctor, Okla., was sentenced Thursday to 40 years in federal prison followed by twenty years of supervised release on one count of aggravated sexual abuse of a minor.

An 11-year old boy living in Northwest Arkansas told his mother in June that Jackson, 32, had been molesting him, according to court records. An investigation determined Jackson transported the boy to and from his Oklahoma residence over a three-year period and forced the boy to engage in sexual activity.

Jackson was arrested in Washington County in July and admitted to sexually abusing the boy. Jackson was indicted in July and plead guilty in September.

The case was investigated by the Washington County Sheriff's Office, the Arkansas State Police, the Northwest Arkansas Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Department of Homeland Security.

U.S. District Judge Timothy Brooks presided over the sentencing hearing.
