A shooting Tuesday evening prompted a SWAT call out at a Little Rock residence, according to a police spokesman.

Officers initially were called around 7:25 p.m. to a residence at the intersection of South Park and West 24th streets for a report of a shooting, according to an online dispatch log.

The victim, who was shot in the leg, went to the intersection after being shot at a house in the 1700 block of South Pulaski Street, said police spokesman Lt. Michael Ford. He reported that the victim did not have life-threatening injuries.

The department's SWAT unit arrived at the South Pulaski Street scene, most in full body gear.

During the incident, police, speaking through a megaphone or loud speaker, announced they had surrounded the house and ordered anybody inside to exit with their hands up.

"We are not going to leave," the voice said.

The SWAT situation ended after authorities decided they did not have enough probable cause to enter the residence, Ford reported.

3rd teen arrested in pair of holdups

Little Rock police on Monday arrested a third 18-year-old accused in a pair of armed convenience store holdups on New Year's Day.

Department spokesman Lt. Michael Ford confirmed that Alexis Angeles was involved in the robberies at Supermercado Sin Fronteras, 4918 Baseline Road, and the Exxon station at 8724 Colonel Glenn Road.

Angeles is charged with two counts of aggravated robbery and two counts of felony property theft. He was being held at the Pulaski County jail in lieu of $50,000 bond as of Tuesday afternoon.

Police say Angeles, along with 18-year-old Makala Ann Colin, pointed a gun at employees of both businesses in the two holdups and stole candy during one.

Colin was arrested early Thursday and was still being held at the jail in lieu of $101,000 bond Tuesday afternoon, jail records show. Edmundo Sanchez, the 18-year-old who police say acted as a driver in the robberies, was taken into custody Saturday.
