MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- Teddy Allen scored 20 points off the bench, Sagaba Konate had 14 of his 16 points in the second half and No. 6 West Virginia beat No. 7 Oklahoma 89-76 on Saturday night.

Lamont West and Jevon Carter added 17 points apiece for the Mountaineers (14-1, 3-0 Big 12). Konate also had 13 rebounds.

Oklahoma freshman Trae Young, the nation's scoring and assists leader, finished with 29 points on 8-of-22 shooting. Carter and his teammates spent much of the game double-teaming Young.

West Virginia held the nation's top-scoring team to its lowest total of the season while the Mountaineers extended their winning streak to 14 games, their longest since winning 22 consecutive during the 1988-1989 season. Oklahoma (12-2, 2-1) saw its 10-game winning streak snapped.

Carter went to the bench with his fourth foul with 13:30 left, and Young made two free throws to give Oklahoma a 53-51 lead.

Despite Carter missing the next 10 minutes, the Mountaineers never trailed again. Konate hit two baskets in a row to start a 12-2 run and West later made two free throws for West Virginia's largest lead, 73-62, with 5:25 left.

Oklahoma got no closer than six points the rest of the game. Carter returned with 3:45 remaining and made a basket and a free throw to help keep the Sooners at bay.

Young made just two field goals over the final 14 minutes.

N.C. STATE 96,

RALEIGH, N.C. — Omer Yurtseven had 16 points while Torin Dorn hit two three-pointers in the final 2 minutes to help North Carolina State upset No. 2 Duke.

It was the second victory against a No. 2-ranked team this season for N.C. State (11-5, 1-2 Atlantic Coast Conference), which upset Arizona in November.

The Wolfpack shot 55 percent after halftime, though the two biggest shots came from Dorn.

He first hit a three from the corner over an oncoming Marvin Bagley III with 2:02 left and N.C. State protecting a four-point lead. Then Dorn hit one to beat the shot clock on an inbounds pass while being fouled by Javin DeLaurier, a four-point play that pushed the Wolfpack to a 91-80 lead with 1:06 left.

Bagley finished with 31 points and 10 rebounds for the Blue Devils (13-2, 1-2).

PHILADELPHIA — Jalen Brunson had 27 points and eight assists and Villa-nova bounced back from its first loss of the season.

Eric Paschall added 19 points and Mikal Bridges had 18 points and seven rebounds for the Wildcats (14-1, 2-1 Big East), who never trailed and shot 56 percent from the field to give Coach Jay Wright his 400th win at Villanova. Markus Howard had 37 points and eight assists for Marquette (11-5, 2-2), three nights after scoring a Big East record-tying 52 points in an overtime victory at Providence.

NO. 5 XAVIER 72

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Kyron Cartwright had 19 points, 9 assists and 4 steals, and Rodney Bullock scored 17 with 6 rebounds and 2 blocked shots as the Friars (11-6, 2-2 Big East) beat a ranked team for the first time this season, knocking off No. 5 Xavier (15-2, 3-1).

Kerem Kanter had 24 points and 12 rebounds — 8 on the offensive boards — in 20 minutes for Xavier. Tyrique Jones, who had 12 points and seven rebounds, was the only other Musketeer to make more than half his shots.

Trevon Bluiett, who leads Xavier with 19.8 points per game, had 12 points but was scoreless in the second half.

NO. 8 VIRGINIA 61,

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Devon Hall scored 16 points and No. 8 Virginia defeated No. 12 North Carolina.

The Cavaliers (14-1, 3-0 Atlantic Coast) held the Tar Heels (12-4, 1-2) to 29.6 percent shooting (16 of 54) and scored 25 points off 19 turnovers.

Hall added seven assists. De’Andre Hunter had 10 points and seven rebounds.

The Cavaliers won their sixth in a row and sent the Tar Heels to consecutive losses for the first time since February 2016. North Carolina lost 81-80 at Florida State on Wednesday night.

Joel Berry II led North Carolina with 17 points. Kenny Williams had 11 points.

NO. 10 KANSAS 88,

FORT WORTH — Devonte Graham scored 28 points with eight consecutive free throws in the final 2:02 as No. 10 Kansas held on for a victory over No. 16 TCU.

Vladimir Brodziansky had eight points in a row for TCU to tie the game at 77-77 before Marcus Garrett’s two tiebreaking free throws put the Jayhawks ahead to stay with 3 minutes left. Graham then made all of his free throws down the stretch for the Jayhawks (12-3, 2-1 Big 12).

Brodziansky led TCU (13-2, 1-2) with 20 points.

NO. 13 PURDUE 74,

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Vincent Edwards finished with 21 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists, and Isaac Haas added 14 points to help No. 13 Purdue (15-2, 4-0 Big Ten) roll past Nebraska (11-6, 2-2) for its 11th consecutive victory.

The Boilermakers have won 18 consecutive home games overall and 10 in a row at Mackey Arena against conference foes. This time they won despite failing to score 80 points for the first time in seven games and despite failing to make 10 3s for the first time in four games.

James Palmer Jr. scored 22 points to lead the Cornhuskers. Isaac Copeland had 16 points.

COLORADO 80,

BOULDER, Colo. — McKinley Wright IV scored 16 points to lead five Colorado players with at least 10 points, and the Buffaloes held off No. 14 Arizona to end the Wildcats’ nine-game winning streak. It’s the second consecutive game in which the Buffaloes (10-6, 2-2 Pac-12) have knocked off a ranked team. They defeated No. 4 Arizona State 90-81 in overtime Thursday. The Buffaloes are now 17-29 against ranked teams under Coach Tad Boyle, who celebrated his 55th birthday Saturday.

The last time Colorado defeated ranked teams in consecutive games was in 2011.

Deandre Ayton scored 21 of his 26 points in the second half for the Wildcats. Arizona’s leading scorer, Allonzo Trier, was held to eight. The 1-2 scoring punch was averaging a combined 40.3 points before Saturday.
