Park serves purpose for underserved in Fayetteville, organizer says

Will Dockery of Fayetteville, pictured in Lewis Park on Friday, is organizing an effort to purchase the park, which has been offered for sale by the University of Arkansas' Division of Agriculture. The park has been leased by the city of Fayetteville, but the lease runs out in June and is not being renewed.

A web designer and stay-at-home dad spearheaded an effort to raise millions to keep open a park Frisbee and soccer players have enjoyed for 25 years.
