Cohen, who now has 20 victories in 128 starts, won the sixth race with Guska Mon Shoes ($5.20), covering 6 furlongs in 1:12.20. He won the seventh race with Brooklyn Bites ($3.60), covering 6 furlongs in 1:12.79. Vazquez, who now has 16 victories in 104 starts, won the first race with Queen Kate ($5.20) covering 6 furlongs in 1:12.82. He won the eighth race with Jersey Heist ($8.60), covering 6 furlongs in 1:11.97.

Trainer Federico Villafranco, who has 10 victories in 64 starts, won the first race with Queen Kate. He won the fifth race with Ritzy Lass ($15.20). Ritzy Lass, ridden by Alex Canchari, covered 1 mile in 1:41.97.

Steve Asmussen ($1,028,766) became the first trainer to reach $1 million in purse earnings at the meet Saturday, the 26th day of racing. The trainer has won eight Oaklawn training titles since 2007 and set a single-season meet record for purse earnings in 2016 ($3,448,729). According to Equibase, racing's official data-gathering organization, Asmussen has started 2,602 horses at Oaklawn since his first in 1989, winning 554 races and earning $23,964,536 in purses. ... Warrior's Club worked a half-mile in :49.20 Sunday morning for Hall of Fame trainer D. Wayne Lukas in advance of a scheduled start in the $125,000 Hot Springs Stakes for older sprinters March 10. ... Next-race plans are pending for Bourne in Nixa, who won Saturday's $125,000 Gazebo Stakes for 3-year-old sprinters, trainer Steve Margolis said.
