The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission has approved emergency closures of portions of four wildlife management areas next week. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service Wildlife Services, in conjunction with the AGFC, will conduct aerial gunning operations aimed at reducing feral hog populations on the WMAs. Aerial operations are scheduled to begin Monday and continue through Friday.
The following is a list of affected wildlife management areas:
Big Lake Wildlife Management Area WHEN Monday and Friday (7 a.m.-7 p.m.)
Cut-off Creek Wildlife Management Area WHEN Tuesday-Thursday (7 a.m.-7 p.m.)
Seven Devils Wildlife Management Area WHEN Tuesday-Thursday (7 a.m.-7 p.m.)
Trusten Holder Wildlife Management Area WHEN Tuesday-Thursday (7 a.m.-7 p.m.)
