List, Lovemark lead Honda

Luke List had a 4-under 66 on Friday morning at the Honda Classic at Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and Jamie Lovemark had a 69 in the afternoon. That was enough for the two players who have never won on the PGA Tour to share the lead at 3-under 137. It's the highest score to lead the Honda Classic through 36 holes since it moved to PGA National in 2007. Tiger Woods was two shots off the lead until putting his tee shot into the water on the par-3 15th for double bogey. He had a 71 and was at 1-over 141, four shots behind the leaders and just outside the top 10. Rory McIlroy was at 4-over 144, and happy to be sticking around. Andrew Landry (Arkansas Razorbacks) and David Lingmerth (Razorbacks) did not make the cut.

Korda sets 36-hole record

Jessica Korda shot a course-record 62 at the LPGA Thailand at Chonburi on Friday to lead by four strokes after the second round. Playing her first tournament since having jaw surgery, the American fired eight birdies and finished with an eagle to move to 16 under par at the halfway point, a 36-hole record for the event. Korda is the daughter of former tennis player Petr Korda. She leads another American, Brittany Lincicome, who carded a 65 to go 12 under at the Siam Country Club Pattaya Old Course. Minjee Lee of Australia is third and a shot behind Linicome on 11 under after a 67. Lexi Thompson of the United States, the 2016 champion, is fourth and another shot behind Lee.

Otaegui ahead by 1

Adrian Otaegui carded a 6-under-par 66 to take a one-shot lead at the Qatar Masters on Friday. Otaegui finished his second round with three consecutive birdies at Doha Golf Club to move to 11-under overall and clear of four players tied for second. Overnight joint-leaders Eddie Pepperell and Gregory Havret shot 69s to go to 10 under, and they were joined by South African Challenge Tour graduate Erik van Rooyen (66) and Scottish veteran Stephen Gallacher (66). Otaegui started his second round with a birdie and ended it with three of them, and had seven birdies and one bogey in all. Pep Angles (Central Arkansas) shot a 70 and is 2 under going into the weekend.

Chiefs trade Peters to Rams

The Chiefs have finalized a trade that will send cornerback Marcus Peters to the Los Angeles Rams, two sources confirmed to The Kansas City Star on Friday. Published reports indicate the Chiefs will receive a package of draft picks. The trade concludes Peters' three-year run in Kansas City, which was filled with multiple highs -- his two Pro Bowl and All-Pro appearances -- and lows, most of which occurred during a tumultuous 2017 season in which he recorded 46 tackles, 5 interceptions and 9 passes defensed. Peters remained the Chiefs' best cornerback last season, but he failed to make a Pro Bowl for the first time in his career and found himself at the epicenter of turmoil related to his pregame protests and sometimes-explosive temperament. NFL Network reported the 49ers and Browns were also interested in Peters, but a source told The Star on Friday that the Browns were not a major option. The trade will bring Peters closer to his hometown of Oakland, Calif., where he regularly spends his offseason.
