BAPTIST PREP 71, RIVERVIEW 45 Issac McBride, who was 10-of-10 shooting in the Class 4A East Regional opener against Gosnell, connected on four consecutive three-pointers in the first quarter. He finished with 31 points as the Eagles (27-5) won their eighth consecutive game. Baptist Prep scored the first 13 points but fell behind 19-17 with 5:55 left in the first half. The Eagles retook the lead on the following possession and never trailed again. Sophomore Quinton Brown led Riverview (24-8) with 18 points. James Renshaw scored 16 of his 18 points in the second half for Baptist Prep. Renshaw also grabbed nine rebounds. Baptist Prep plays Southside Batesville in tonight’s championship game.

LITTLE ROCK PARKVIEW 61, LITTLE ROCK FAIR 48 Senior center Ethan Henderson finished with a team-high 20 points to carry Little Rock Parkview (21-8) past Little Rock Fair (22-6) in the third-place game of the 5A-Central Conference tournament. Senior guard C.J. White had 16 points while junior forward Allen Flanigan scored 11 for the Patriots, who used a 19-2 run in the second quarter to break open a close game. Parkview finished 24-of-37 shooting. Senior forward Mickael Foust had 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for Fair, which went 17 of 40 from the field.

SOUTHSIDE BATESVILLE 80, JONESBORO WESTSIDE 70 Tom Miholjcic, a 6-10 junior center, scored 23 points and brought down 17 rebounds in leading the Southerners (27-5) to a victory over the Warriors (22-6) in the Class 4A East Regional. Southside scored the game’s first 12 points but did not put the game away until the fourth quarter when the Southerners connected on 19 of 27 free-throw attempts in the final eight minutes. Junior forward Alex Brogdon added 20 points and five assists for Southside. Grant Patterson, who was 8 of 8 from the line in the fourth quarter, finished with 11 points. After being held to six points in the first half, Westside junior Avery Felts finished with 29 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Riley Felkins added 19 points and Dylan Schwarz grabbed eight rebounds.

GIRLS

CONWAY 63, BRYANT 30 Senior guard Asiyha Smith scored 19 points to lead Conway to victory. Junior guard Reagan Roetzel scored 12 for Conway and sophomore guard Jadah Pickens 10. Junior forward Robyn Gordon led Conway with 10 points.

FS NORTHSIDE 58, FS SOUTHSIDE 34 The Lady Bears (24-3, 12-2) used a 15-0 run in the first six minutes of the second quarter to pull away from the Mavericks (4-20, 3-11) and capture a share of the 7A-Central title. Northside, along with North Little Rock and Conway, finished 12-2 in the conference. The Lady Bears, though, will be the No. 3 seed and will play Rogers, the 7A-West’s sixth seed, Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Class 7A state tournament Southside will be the No. 6 seed and will meet Springdale on Wednesday at 4 p.m. Tracey Bershers (17 points) and Sara Bershers (14 points) led the Lady Bears to a commanding 48-23 lead after three quarters. Northside led 15-12 at half, but the run pushed the Lady Bears to a 34-17 halftime lead. Kelly Carson scored 15 to lead Southside. Jazzlyn Coleman added 11 for Northside.

LITTLE ROCK PARKVIEW 70, SYLVAN HILLS 63 Kania Lasker scored 24 points to lead Little Rock Parkview (18-9) to a victory over Sylvan Hills (16-13) in the 5A-Central girls consolation game. The Lady Patriots, who will be the 5A-Central’s No. 3 seed, will play the 5A-East’s No. 2 seed (Nettleton or Paragould) in the first round of the Class 5A state tournament. Kaylan Larry scored 19 points and Mikayla Alexander had 18 points for the Lady Patriots, who shot 25 of 45 from the floor. Alana Canady scored a game-high 28 points for the Lady Bears, who will be the 5A-Central’s No. 4 seed in the state tournament. Jayla Bell finished with 25 points.

NORTH LITTLE ROCK 65, CABOT 42 The Lady Cats (23-4, 12-2 7A-Central) will move to the Class 7A state tournament with a two-game winning streak and the No. 2 seed after taking a victory from Cabot (9-17, 2-12) on North Little Rock’s home court. North Little Rock led by 10 after the first quarter, holding the Lady Panthers without a point until Chloe Thompson hit the second of two shots with 1:45 left in the quarter. Senior center Yomyris Morris led the Lady Cats with a game-high 20 points. Amber Hawkinson added 15 and An’nyah Pettus had 11 for North Little Rock. Junior Brooklyn Stracener had nine points for Cabot.
