GREERS FERRY LAKE Hybrid bass and white bass are biting on flats containing shad next to drops and travel routes in depths of 25-45 feet. Try spoons, inline spinners, grubs, Alabama rigs, swimbaits and topwater plugs. Just stay around the shad. Crappie fishing is excellent in the pole timber, over brush piles and suspended in open water. Try 14-30 feet of water on minnows, jigs and crappie spins. Walleye are being caught staging in mid-depths and in very shallow water in the Little Red River on bream, minnows, on drop-shots and jigheads and crankbaits. Bass fishing is inconsistent. Big bass are being caught shallow on Wiggle Warts, Rat-L-Traps, spinnerbaits, jigs, jerk baits, Carolina rigs and football head jigs on rocky points wherever you find shad.

LAKE MAUMELLE White bass fishing is excellent, but rising water will make it even better on the west end. Catch them on Rooster Tails, CC Spoons, deep-diving Bandits,Black bass are biting on shaky head worms, crankbaits, drop-shot and jerkbaits off steep rocky banks in depths of 12-18 feet. Kentucky bass are being caught on hair and finesse jigs near the edge of the creek channel. Crappie are being caught on crappie minnows and soft plastic bodies with weighted jig heads in depths of 28-34 feet.

ARKANSAS RIVER (LITTLE ROCK POOL) The river is muddy, high and fast. Crappie fishing is good, and anglers are finding them in the main channel in a depth of about 5-10 feet. Use black/blue jigs, and chartreuse/white jigs. Bass are biting jerk baits around grass in the backwaters and in the main channel near jetties.
