Beaver Lake
Crappie and striped bass are biting on the south end of the lake.
Mike Whitehouse at Hickory Creek Marina said crappie are biting well on Bobby Garland crappie lures worked 12 to 14 feet deep around wood cover.
Try shad, brood minnows of jigging spoons for stripers.
James Whittle at Hook, Line and Sinker recommends using jerk baits, crawdad-colored crank baits or Alabama rigs to catch black bass.
A shad kill is taking place at the lake that has made striper fishing tough. Stripers have so much easy food to catch that they don't bite as much.
Beaver tailwater
Lisa Mullins at Beaver Dam Store said nightcrawlers are working well to catch trout in low water. During power generation, try small spoons or Flicker Shads.
Good flies to try include pheasant-tails, midges, hare's ears and San Juan worms.
Lake Fayetteville
David Powell at the lake office said black bass fishing is good with jerk baits or plastic worms. There is no fishing activity for other species.
Lake Sequoyah
Mike McBride at the lake bait shop said few people are fishing.
He suggests using minnows or jigs for crappie. Fish them four feet deep under a bobber.
Try fishing for black bass along ledges with jig and pigs.
Swepco Lake
Kenny Stroud in Siloam Springs said black bass are biting a variety of soft plastic lures rigged any style. Top-water lures and swim baits may also work.
Siloam Springs Lake
Stroud recommends trying for crappie with minnows five to 10 feet deep.
Eastern Oklahoma
Black bass are biting jerk baits, jig and pigs or Alabama rigs, Stroud said.
Bella Vista
Hook, Line and Sinker reports good trout fishing at Lake Brittany with Power Bait and small spoons. Try jerk baits or jig and pigs for black bass at all Bella Vista lakes.
Table Rock Lake
Pete Wenners at Pete's Professional Guide Service said black bass fishing is slow. Try jig and pigs, jerk baits or Alabama rigs 10 to 20 feet deep. Fish around bluff ends and channel swings.
