BENTONVILLE -- A Rogers woman admitted Thursday to taking almost $60,000 from her employer for hours she didn't work.

Gina Rousey pleaded guilty to theft of property and falsifying business records.

Circuit Judge Brad Karren placed her on 15 years of state supervised probation. She must serve 30 days in the Benton County Jail and is allowed to have work release. Rousey must also perform 200 hours of community service.

She was accused of taking $57,084 from Aug. 1, 2015, to Nov. 9, 2016, in unearned wages from Walmart, according to court documents.

Rousey was arrested July 23.

She was employed as a administrative assistant/coordinator for technical services and building controls, according to a probable cause affidavit.

She was accused of manipulating electronic time and attendance records in 2015 and 2016 to show she worked overtime when she didn't. She was fired Nov. 9, 2016, after admitting to receiving the overtime payments, according to affidavit.

Rousey told a Benton County Sheriff's Office detective she was a single mother at the time and needed the extra money, according to court documents.

David James, deputy prosecutor, said Walmart was in favor of the plea agreement, and it requires her to pay $57,084 restitution.
