WASHINGTON COUNTY

St. James United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, 5 N. Willow Ave., serves its annual "Soul Food Dinner" from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today. Cost is $7 per plate, with proceeds going to the church's restoration fund.

Bella Vista Community Church, 75 E. Lancashire Blvd., offers Lenten soup suppers and meditations at 6:20 p.m. each Wednesday through March 21. Meals are served at 5:30 p.m., with a cost of $3 per person or $5 for a family.

The church offers a newcomers' orientation at 7 p.m. Wednesday for those interested in learning more about the church.

A women's Bible study on The Quest by Beth Moore meets at 9:30 a.m. or 6 p.m. each Thursday, beginning March 1. The cost is $17.
