FS NORTHSIDE 69, LR CENTRAL 56 A disastrous third quarter was too much for host Little Rock Central to overcome. Senior guard and University of Arkansas, Fayetteville commit Isaiah Joe scored a game-high 21 points for Fort Smith Northside (17-6, 8-1, 7A-Central), which moved into sole possession of first place in the conference after North Little Rock’s loss at Conway. Senior guard Kentrell Jacobs had 20 points for the Grizzlies. Junior guard Rajhon McIntosh scored 16 points to lead Central (7-12, 3-6).

FS SOUTHSIDE 65, CABOT 59 The Mavericks (15-8, 3-6) built a 17-point second half lead and hung on for a 65-59 7A-Central boys victory over the Panthers (12-11, 4-5). Southside built a 48-31 lead with three minutes left in the third quarter, but Cabot finished the quarter on an 11-0 to get to within 48-42. The closest the Panthers would get was three points on two occasions, the last on Christian Weir’s three-pointer with 1:40 left at 58-55. But an Ike Moore three-point play with 1:27 left got the advantage back to 61-55. ENGLAND 55, EARLE 50 Visiting England (20-6) outscored Earle 17-8 in the fourth quarter to come away with the five-point victory. Warren Green led the Lions with 18 points, while Kebante Davis and Corey Hunter had 11 apiece. Trey Doolittle led Earle with 14 points.

LITTLE ROCK PARKVIEW 78, SYLVAN HILLS 61 C.J. White and Ethan Henderson each scored 18 points as the Patriots (17-6, 9-2) defeated the Bears in a 6A/5A-4 game in Sherwood. White also added nine rebounds and five blocks. Allen Flanigan chipped in with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Airion Simmons put in 11 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

MILLS 58, BENTON 40 Mills (20-2, 9-0 6A/5A-5) remained undefeated in conference play with the 18-point victory over host Benton (16-7, 5-4). The Comets led 29-17 at halftime before increasing the advantage to 52-23 at the end of the third quarter. Kevin Cross led the Comets with 24 points, with teammate Grehlon Easter chipping in 12.

TUESDAY’S GIRLS

BRYANT 57, MOUNT ST. MARY 52 Tierra Trotter put in 30 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and came up with 5 assists and 4 steals as the Lady Hornets topped the host Belles.

CABOT 62, FS SOUTHSIDE 56 The Lady Panthers (9-12, 2-7 7A-Central) opened the fourth quarter with a 13-0 run to retake the lead and stay alive for a postseason berth. The Lady Mavericks (3-16, 2-7) had rallied from a 14-point first half deficit to lead 37-36 at the end of the third quarter. Hannah Ogilvie scored six points to pace the early fourth-quarter run for Cabot. Emily Belin scored 13 to pace the Lady Panthers. Kelly Carson scored a game-high 16 to pace the Lady Mavericks.

MAUMELLE 73, LITTLE ROCK FAIR 14 Jayla King led four scorers in double figures as Maumelle routed Little Rock Fair. A 33-3 second quarter gave the Lady Hornets a 48-10 halftime lead. Kourtney Johnson scored 14, McKenzie Smith had 12 and LaShundra Watson chipped in with 11 for Maumelle.

WATSON CHAPEL 44, SHERIDAN 37 Watson Chapel (20-3, 8-0 6A/5A-5) opened a 23-16 halftime advantage and maintained its seven-point advantage the remainder of the way. Wyvette Mayberry led Watson Chapel with 15 points.
