Man accused of taking bathroom videos

A Northwest Arkansas man was arrested after a Fayetteville gym manager accused him of recording gym members using the facility's bathroom, police said.

Shortly before 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, authorities responded to an indecent-exposure call at the Planet Fitness at 3300 West Grove Drive in Fayetteville.

When officers arrived, a 26-year-old manager at the gym told police he discovered Raymond Peraza-Ayuso, 25, was filming people in the bathroom.

The employee said that while he was using a urinal close to the stall Peraza-Ayuso was using, he saw the Springdale resident stick his phone out from under the stall and attempt to record him urinating, according to a report from the Fayetteville Police Department.

Police later recovered several videos of males urinating and others defecating in stalls next to Peraza-Ayuso, the report said. Authorities wrote that Peraza-Ayuso told police he took those videos.

Peraza-Ayuso was taken into custody about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday and charged with a felony count of video voyeurism. He was later released on a $1,500 bond, records show, and is set to appear Feb. 28 in Washington County court.
