FAYETTEVILLE -- Police say there appears to be nothing suspicious about the death of a man whose body was found Sunday morning at Walker Park on 15th Street.

A report of a death was received about 7:15 a.m. Sunday, police said. The body of a white man in his 50s was found at a pavilion near the horse shoe pits at the park. The man was known to spend time at the park and the nearby Salvation Army location, police said.

The body has been sent to Little Rock for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Sgt. Anthony Murphy, spokesman for the Fayetteville Police Department, said the man has been identified but his name is being withheld pending notification of his next of kin.
