UALR wins two in Alabama

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (4-0) defeated Lamar 25-6, 25-10, 25-14 and Jacksonville State 25-18, 25-16, 25-21 at the Jacksonville State Invitational in Jacksonville, Ala.

Taylor Lindberg led the Trojans with 12 kills against Lamar, while Pamela Zuluaga had 20 digs.

Maritza Mesa led the Trojans with 12 kills against Jacksonville State, while Lindberg had 22 assists.

ASU falls to Stephen F. Austin

Arkansas State University lost 25-20, 25-19, 25-23 to Stephen F. Austin at the Memphis Invitational on Saturday.

Carlisa May led the Red Wolves (1-1) with 13 kills. Elle Watkins had 26 assists while Madison Brown led the way with 21 digs.

UCA wins two in North Carolina

The University of Central Arkansas (3-0) defeated William & Mary 25-22, 23-25, 25-17, 23-25, 15-9 and Marist 25-22, 26-24, 21-25, 25-21 at the Davidson Wildcat Classic in Davidson, N.C., on Saturday.

Against William & Mary, Haley Tippett had 21 kills while Samantha Anderson had 17. Elizabeth Armstrong had 35 assists while Bailey Washington had 16. Emily Doss had 16 digs and Tippett had 12.

Tippett had 17 kills against Marist while Abbie Harry had 11. Armstrong had 47 assists and 11 digs.

UAFS wins in Texas

The University of Arkansas at Fort Smith defeated New Mexico Highlands 25-16, 29-27, 25-16 at the Kathleen Brassfield Invitational in San Angelo, Texas, on Saturday.

Anna Demmer led the Lady Lions (3-0) with 16 kills. Taylor Stoops had 41 assists.

Henderson State splits in Kansas

Henderson State University (2-2) defeated Colorado State-Pueblo 25-20, 25-10, 25-18 after losing 25-8, 25-14, 25-15 to Northwest Missouri State at the Washburn Invitational in Topeka, Kan., on Saturday

Against Colorado State-Pueblo, Courtney Bolf had 12 kills and 13 digs. Adrianna Hartman had nine kills in the victory.

In the loss to Northwest Missouri State, Hartmann had five kills and Bolf had four.

UAM splits in Memphis

The University of Arkansas at Monticello (1-3) defeated Christian Brothers 25-22, 24-26, 25-20, 22-25, 15-11 and lost 19-25, 28-26, 25-19 and 25-16 to Kentucky Wesleyan at the CBU Invitational in Memphis on Saturday.

In the victory over Christian Brothers, Megan Orth led the Cotton Blossoms with 20 kills. Markayla Dickie had 16 digs. Halli Lambert had 19 digs and 12 kills. Shayna Daniels had 36 assists.

In the loss to Kentucky Wesleyan, Dickie had 14 kills, Daniels had 31 assists and Jessica Maban had 17 digs.

Arkansas Tech loses two

Arkansas Tech University (1-3) lost 20-25, 32-30, 25-16, 25-14 to Drury University and 25-17, 25-23, 25-12 to Truman State at the Peggy Martin Classic in Warrensburg, Mo., on Saturday.

Against Drury, Greer Rogers led Arkansas Tech with nine kills. Amanda Milnick had 32 assists and Hunter Eshnaur had 19 digs.

Against Truman State, Delaney Saucier had 22 assists and Meredith Darnell had 17 digs.

Harding sweeps in Texas

Harding University defeated Southwest Baptist (Mo.) 25-9, 25-20, 25-20 and Midwestern State 25-12, 25-12, 25-18 at the Tarleton State Invitational in Stephenville, Texas, on Saturday.

Zoe Hardin led Harding (3-1) with 13 kills while Rachel Huessner had 30 assists and Taylor Lake had 14 digs against Sotuhwest Baptist. Huessner had 34 digs and Amber Robin had 12 digs against Midwestern State.

OBU improves to 4-0

Ouachita Baptist University stayed undefeated with a 16-25, 19-25, 25-18, 25-18, 15-8 victory over West Georgia and 26-28, 25-23, 25-23, 27-29, 15-12 victory over Alabama-Huntsville at the Alabama-Huntsville Classic on Saturday.

In the first match against West Georgia, Adrianna Nolly led Ouachita Baptist (4-0) with 13 kills. Stormi Leonard had 35 assists and 12 digs.

Nolly had 20 kills against Alabama-Huntsville while Leonard had 51 assists. Julianna Mack had 28 digs.

Williams Baptist loses opener

Williams Baptist University (0-1) lost to Bethel 25-22, 25-12, 25-12 on Saturday in McKenzie, Tenn.

Audra Nailing led Williams Baptist with nine kills and eight digs. Molly Mingo had six assists and two aces.

Lyon falls to LSU-Alexandria

Lyon College lost its season opener 2-1 to LSU-Alexandria in Alexandria, La., on Saturday.

Vitor Fujiwara scored Lyon's goal in the 21st minute on a penalty kick. Rade Pavic and Gylles Mitchel scored for LSU-Alexandria.

Vicente Alamos made one save for Lyon, which was outshot 15-8.

Williams Baptist blows out Jarvis Christian

After falling behind 2-0, Williams Baptist (1-0) scored eight consecutive goals in a 8-2 victory over Jarvis Christian College on Saturday in Walnut Ridge.

Henrique Torres led Williams Baptist with three goals while Giovanni Souza had two goals and one assist.

WOMEN'S SOCCER

Williams Baptist ties Jarvis Christian

Carlee Spears had a hat trick, but it wasn't enough as Williams Baptist University tied Jarvis Christian College 4-4 on Saturday in Walnut Ridge.

Spears had goals in the third minute, the fourth minute and on a penalty kick in the second half to give Williams Baptist a 4-2 lead. Jarvis Christian scored in the 55th and 58th minute to tie the game.

Samantha Kramer played 110 minutes in goal, collecting seven saves.
