Heber Springs man charged after his baby dies from injuries

HEBER SPRINGS -- An Arkansas man has been charged with murder after his injured infant died a hospital.

The Cleburne County sheriff's office said Friday that 30-year-old Casey Warren has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder.

The sheriff's office said deputies on Wednesday got a 911 call about an unresponsive infant at a Heber Springs apartment. The baby was taken to a local hospital by ambulance before being transferred to a Little Rock hospital, where the baby died.

Authorities say Warren was arrested after they reviewed medical examinations and conducted interviews.

The sheriff's office did not give details on the baby's injuries.

Warren remained in jail Saturday and did not have an attorney listed. Bond for him has not yet been set.
