Whitey Morgan in LR; Still on the Hill in Spa City

Whitey Morgan and opening act Josh Card, will perform at 8:30 p.m. today at the Rev Room in Little Rock. Admission ranges from $20-$75.

Morgan, a native of Flint, Mich., formed his first band in 2005 and released a debut album, Honky Tonks and Cheap Motels, in 2008. His latest, and third, CD, Sonic Ranch, came out in 2015 and his next album, Hard Times and White Lines, will soon be released. He has toured with Detroit-area acts The Deadstring Brothers and Wayne "The Train" Hancock.

Bricks in the Wall: The Sight and Sound of Pink Floyd will perform at 9 p.m. Friday. Admission is $20.

Charlie Farley will host a CD release party at 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $15.

Country singer Farley is a native of De Queen. Luke Williams will open the show.

The Amplify Christian Music Festival starts at 3 p.m. Friday and at 1 p.m. Saturday at Holland Chapel Baptist Church in Benton. Admission is free, but tickets are required.

For entry, registration is required. Registration at the gate is available, but for quick entry, register ahead of time to obtain a free ticket in hand or on a phone.

Still on the Hill will perform at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Garland County Library in Hot Springs. Admission is free.

Still on the Hill consists of husband/wife duo Kelly and Donna Mulhollan, who have been together for 23 years and married for four years. They play a plethora of instruments. Based in Northwest Arkansas, they are touring to support their latest CD, Still a River, which was funded by the Buffalo River Watershed Alliance, the Ozark Society and the National Park Service.

Brett "Bad Blood" Benton will perform at 9 p.m. today at The Big Chill in Hot Springs. Admission is $10; $15 for reserved seating.

Known for his slide guitar skills, the Alabama-born Benton, who is based in Pensacola, Fla., has performed with Cedric Burnside, Walter Trout and the Rev. Peyton and His Big Damn Band. He will be accompanied by drummer Gordon Townsend.

The show is a benefit for the Unknown Legends Musicians Relief Fund.

The Bottle Rockets, along with opening act Monty Russell, will perform at 8 p.m. today at Griffin Restaurant in El Dorado. Admission is free.

The Bottle Rockets, formed in 1992 in Festus, Mo., are now based in St. Louis. Along with Uncle Tupelo, they helped shape the sound of the Americana or roots rock movement in the early '90s. Led by original members Brian Henneman (guitar and vocals) and Mark Ortmann (drums), the Bottle Rockets have cited Woody Guthrie, Neil Young and The Replacements as their influences, and have released a dozen albums, the most recent of which, South Broadway Athletic Club, came out in 2015.

Eureka Springs Bluegrass Weekend will be held Friday and Saturday in Basin Spring Park in Eureka Springs. Admission is free.

The Crumbs will open the weekend at 4 p.m. Friday and Boy Named Banjo will follow.

On Saturday, The Crumbs, Lonesome Road, Runaway Planet and Chatham County Line will perform, starting at 1 p.m.

Other local venues will also feature bluegrass music during the weekend.

The Howlin' Bros. will perform two shows Saturday, at 2 and 7 p.m., in the auditorium of the Ozark Folk Center in Mountain View. Admission is $12 to either show; a combination ticket for both shows, plus admission to the Craft Village artisan area is $19.50.

The Howlin' Bros. is a country blues/string band consisting of singer-songwriters Ian Craft, Jared Green and Dan Swan, now based in Nashville, Tenn., but formed in Ithaca, N.Y., in 2003 by Craft and Green. The trio has released seven albums since their debut in 2007 with Mountain Blues.

The concert coincides with Mountain View's annual Mountains, Music and Motorcycles Festival.
