BENTONVILLE -- Police arrested Damon Christian Vargas, 21, of Bella Vista in connection with aggravated robbery of a bank Friday, Bentonville police spokesman said.
Police responded to a robbery at 4:36 p.m. Friday of the Bank of the Ozarks at 405 S.W. 14th St, spokesman Gene Page said. The suspect, believed to be Vargas, had fled from the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
Police arrested Vargas later that night, Page said.
Vargas was being held Saturday at the Benton County Jail on $250,000 bond.
