Two people dead after wrecks in Northwest Arkansas

State police responded to two fatal wrecks this morning in Northwest Arkansas, according to preliminary crash summaries.

Adrian Garcia, 22, of Springdale was driving a Ford Explorer south around 12:25 a.m. on North Crossover Road near East Manor Drive in Fayetteville. The truck left the road, went through a yard and struck two trees, according to the Arkansas State Police Preliminary Fatal Crash Summary.

Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the summary. His body was sent to Washington Regional Medical Center.

Diane L. Gress, 54, of Bella Vista was driving a Harley Davidson west around 9 a.m. on Highway 12 in Benton County. She attempted to go around a curve but lost control of the motorcycle and crossed the center line, hitting a Chevrolet head on, according to the crash summary.

Gress is listed as deceased on the report. Her body was sent to the Benton County Coroner Office.

The other driver is listed as injured but no other information is given.

The weather was clear and the roads dry at the time of both wrecks, according to the summaries.
