Fayetteville police arrest three in connection with fentanyl operation

FAYETTEVILLE -- Police arrested three people in connection with selling fentanyl, according to a press release.

Brandy Daniels, 37, of Lincoln; Timothy Marrs, 27, of Goshen and Shawn Landrus, 46, of Fayetteville were arrested on multiple charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver, according to a Fayetteville Police press release Thursday.

The 4th Judicial District Drug Task Force received information last week that fentanyl in the form of a spray was being sold in Northwest Arkansas, according to the press release.

An investigation found 135 doses of fentanyl oral spray, 26 strips of Suboxone and 10 amphetamine and dextroamphetamine pills, according to the release.

The officers involved were equipped with Narcan, said Sgt. Anthony Murphy, Fayetteville Police spokesman. Narcan is the brand name of the anti-opioid medication naloxone, which counteracts the effects of a narcotic overdose.

Officers from Farmington, Fayetteville, Greenland, Goshen, Lincoln, Prairie Grove, Springdale and West Fork police departments and deputies from the Washington County Sheriff's Office make up the Drug Task Force.
