A 55-year-old man was killed in a fatal shooting Friday morning in Little Rock.
The Little Rock Police Department said in a statement that Eric Woods died after being shot in the area of West 26th and South Gaines streets.
Officers were called about 1:45 a.m. Woods, who was in the street with a gunshot wound, died at the scene.
Authorities said witnesses saw Woods standing near a dark-colored sedan.
"The witnesses then heard several gunshots being fired and saw the suspect vehicle flee the area," police wrote.
The killing is the 15th of the year in Little Rock.
