A drunken man led North Little Rock police on a chase early Saturday in a vehicle that was missing a tire, police reported.

A patrol officer tried to stop a car at Faulkner Lake Road and Arkansas 391 after seeing that it was traveling "on a sparking rim," according to an arrest report. The officer reported that front of the vehicle was "busted," as well.

Police said the driver, identified as Christopher Griggs, 24, refused to stop. Griggs reportedly drove about 6 miles south at speeds reaching 85 mph until he pulled over in the 7700 block of Colonel Maynard Road in Scott. He was arrested there about 12:50 a.m.

There were no injuries.

Griggs was charged with fleeing and driving while intoxicated. He was being held in the Pulaski County jail late Saturday.
