Janessa and University of Arkansas at Little Rock Chancellor Andrew Rogerson opened their home the evening of Sept. 6 for a reception to introduce UALR board members and other guests to two new vice chancellors.
The guests of honor were Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs Velmer Burton, who before coming to Arkansas was dean of the University of Mississippi School of Applied Sciences and a tenured professor, and Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs Mark Allen Poisel, who was vice president for enrollment and student affairs at Augusta University in Augusta, Ga.
After guests had a chance to mingle, Rogerson introduced the two, saying it was important for new cabinet members to meet the community, and told the guests, "We now have an amazing cabinet."
