Clubhaus Fitness to open new location
Clubhaus Fitness is opening its second Fayetteville location on Oct. 9.
The local health club is leasing space at 2907 E. Joyce Blvd. The 2,950-square-foot site was occupied by Maca Boutique. Stuart Walker is Clubhaus Fitness owner.
The northeast Fayetteville location will offer classes programmed to build strength and endurance. Members will use kettlebells, dumbbells, sand bags, water rowers and more, while also incorporating bodyweight movements.
The new location will be open from 5 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m.-noon on Saturday and from noon-4 p.m. Sunday.
Additional amenities include full-service locker rooms with showers and personal training. Membership at the new location will also provide full access to the gym at 612 W. Dickson St.
Clubhaus Fitness has three Arkansas locations. The Dickson location opened in 2009. The second location in Little Rock opened in 2014.
Mercy clinic makes debut in Pea Ridge
Mercy held a ribbon cutting Wednesday for its new 7,400-square-foot primary care clinic in Pea Ridge. The clinic began taking patients Thursday.
The clinic is part of Mercy's $247 million expansion plan that will add seven clinics in the region and a new tower to the Rogers hospital.
Mercy Clinic Primary Care -- Pea Ridge will house two providers, a physician and nurse practitioner, and feature 14 examination rooms at 200 Carr St.
Dr. Matthew Jennings has more than two decades of experience, including family practice, emergency medicine and urgent care, and has served in numerous medical supervisory roles. He is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., and earned his M.D. from Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md.
Crossland Construction Co. completed the Pea Ridge clinic building earlier this month. Mercy's investment in the site and building is about $4.1 million.
