LONGVIEW, Mo. -- A McDonald County man is dead and another is on the run following a shooting Tuesday morning.

Emergency responders went to 1446 S. Tiger Road near Longview a few minutes after 10 a.m. regarding a man with multiple gunshot wounds, McDonald County Sheriff Michael Hall said.

Deputies located the victim, 37-year-old Russell McClelland, who was pronounced dead by paramedics, Hall said.

The person who called 911 said a man came into the home and shot McClelland several times with a pistol, Hall said.

Multiple agencies are searching for Wade Woods, 27, in connection with the shooting, Hall said.

Reports indicate Woods was last seen driving a dark blue and gold Ford F150 pickup with a black, angle-iron ladder rack in the bed. Hall said that, according to witnesses, Woods is accompanied by a woman.

"Woods should be considered armed and dangerous," Hall said. "If he is spotted, please notify local law enforcement immediately."
