A Night of Hope was also a celebration of success on Oct. 19. Hosted by the Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Pulaski County, the event was was held at the University of Arkansas Pulaski Tech Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management Institute.
Scholarship recipients, the Giving Circle, volunteers and sponsors all were lauded. The evening's honoree was Cathey Robbins who has been an active SPSF two-term board member and founding member of the Giving Circle. Also honored was Scholar of the Year Adelene McClenny, who has been accepted into graduate school at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
The program included remarks by board members Tim Jones and Shana Graves, board Chairman Cody Buck and Executive Director Lori Lynch. Carli Rae Sasser performed the song "Rise Up." Event chairman was D.J. Williams.
Before the program, guests enjoyed drinks, a variety of passed appetizers and several buffet tables full of gourmet bites made by students in the culinary program at Pulaski Tech.
