7 Brew welcomes third location

An Oregon-turned-Northwest-Arkansas family will welcome a third drive-through coffee location next Friday.

Ron Crume, founder and owner of 7 Brew Coffee, said the third location's grand opening will be Nov. 11, but the 4100 W. Walnut location will be taking customers at the soft opening on Nov. 2.

"In all of our grand openings we give free drinks from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.," Crume said.

Crume began the chain with his wife and two daughters, as well as their families. Crume had been in Oregon since he was 12 years old, but moved for awhile to build houses around Eagle Rock, Mo. and Holiday Island always keeping the idea of a drive-through coffee shop in the back of his mind. He moved back to Oregon in 1990, but vacationed with his family to Northwest Arkansas often.

After keeping an eye on the region's growth, the Crume family decided it was time to move to Arkansas and bring 7 Brew Coffee to life.

They sold their homes in 2016, left their careers and moved to Northwest Arkansas. In February 2017 they opened their first location on 52nd Street in Rogers, across from Village on the Creeks.

"My wife and I could never have done it by ourselves," Crume said. "Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be involved in a business I could do without my kids. My kids play such an integral part."

Now, they've recieved approval on their fourth location in Fayetteville and are looking at Springdale to open a fifth.

"Our goal is to become a national chain with our roots starting here in Northwest Arkansas. The intention is to work all the bugs out here. Get our polices and procedures in place. Get our distribution finely tuned. Then start spreading out to the surround cities and states around Northwest Arkansas."
