NEWPORT -- Cash Forrester combined with Shawn Alcorn on two scoring passes and Tyler Johnson added two scores, giving Newport (6-2, 3-2 3-3A) a victory over Rivercrest (6-2, 4-1).
The Greyhounds took a 28-0 lead at the half after Forrester hit Alcorn on scores of 12 and 21 yards and Johnson scored on runs of 8 and 2 yards.
Rivercrest's Kentavious Robinson scored on a 3-yard run and Maurice Williams threw a 48-yard pass to J.D. Winda for the Colts' final touchdown with eight minutes left in the game.
