ROGERS -- A pedestrian was hit and killed about 3:30 a.m. Friday while trying to cross Interstate 49 near the Walnut Street/Walton Boulevard interchange, according to the Arkansas State Police.
Stephen Topping, 39, of Bentonville was standing in the northbound lanes when he was hit by a Volvo tractor-trailer. The impact pushed Topping onto the exit ramp where he was hit by a Honda, according to the preliminary fatal crash summary.
The drivers of both vehicles weren't injured, according to the summary.
