North Little Rock man charged in holdup attempt

A North Little Rock man was arrested Sunday after an attempted robbery, according to a police report.

North Little Rock police arrested Martin Gilbert, 26, on East McCain Boulevard after a male victim said a man wearing all black showed a silver steak knife and said, "Give me all your money," according to the report.

According to the report, the victim told the suspect that he did not have any money and ran away. The arrest report did not specify where the robbery attempt took place.

The report said Gilbert matched the description of the suspect and that officers found a silver steak knife in his front right pocket.

Gilbert was arrested on one count of aggravated robbery. He was not listed on the Pulaski County jail's inmate roster Sunday night.
