Fort Smith police have arrested a 30-year-old man accused of stabbing another man last month.
Officers began looking for Richard Hunt after 28-year-old Jacob Holland was hospitalized with a stab wound Sept. 13, according to a news release from the Fort Smith Police Department.
At the hospital, the victim told officers Hunt had chased him through the parking lot outside Shooter's Bar & Grill on Grand Avenue before finally catching him and stabbing him in the back.
On Friday, officers found Hunt at Hope Campus, a homeless shelter that opened on South E Street earlier this year.
Hunt was arrested on a second-degree battery charge and taken to the Sebastian County jail, where he was being held in lieu of $5,000 bond Friday.
Hunt's next court appearance is set for Thursday.
