Ashley Elizabeth Mullen and Thomas Scott Davidson were united in marriage at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30 at Marlsgate Plantation. David Moore officiated.
Suzy and Rusty Mullen of Little Rock are the parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Janie and the late Marion Mullen of Little Rock and Myrna Lou and the late Van Price McAnulty of Russellville.
The bridegroom is the son of Regan and Daniel Davidson of Hoover, Ala. His grandparents are Margaret Barton of Jacksonville, Fla., and James Barton of Kennesaw, Ga., and the late Hila Jo and Thomas Oran Davidson of Decatur, Ala.
Nuptial music included Trannie Stevens singing Be Thou My Vision.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a sleeveless ivory gown with a net overlay appliqued with floral lace. She carried a bouquet of hydrangeas, garden roses, stock and ranunculus.
Jeanne Arthur of Dallas was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Ali Mosser of Waco, Texas; Melissa Cooper of Rogers; Trannie Stevens of Nashville, Tenn.; Tara Nunley of Dallas; and Laura Beth Moore of Austin, Texas. They wore high-neck gold gowns with sequined bodices and chiffon skirts and carried a smaller version of the bridal bouquet.
Matt Davidson of Birmingham, Ala., was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Kevin Whitehead, Xander Ngo and Andrew Chen, all of Arlington, Va.; Kurt Lockhart of Washington; Matt Elgin and Matt Latimer, both of Richmond, Va.
A reception, also at Marlsgate, followed the ceremony.
Guest tables held arrangements of hydrangeas, garden roses, ranunculus, snapdragons and seeded eucalyptus. The head table was covered with hand-tied greenery and hydrangeas. Music was by Funkytown Band.
The bride is a magna cum laude graduate of Baylor University with a bachelor's degree in apparel merchandising. She is an account manager at National Journal.
The bridegroom graduated with honors from the University of Virginia with a bachelor's degree in commerce. He is a senior consultant with Navigant Consulting.
After a wedding trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in Arlington.
