3 arrested in Arkansas in animal cruelty case

TEXARKANA — Three people have been arrested in an animal cruelty case involving four abused dogs and a goat whose life veterinarians could not save.

William Lake Evans, 25, was arrested by Sevier County sheriff’s deputies Tuesday in De Queen on four felony counts and one misdemeanor count of animal cruelty, Texarkana Animal Services Director Charles Lokey said. On Wednesday, Victoria Anderson, 23, and Tyler Green, 21, were arrested and face four felony counts and one misdemeanor count of animal cruelty.

The arrests came after Texarkana animal control officers executed a search and seizure warrant Sept. 22 at a house at 309 Laurel St., where the three lived. Two seemingly neglected dogs visible in a fenced yard prompted the animal control officers to execute the warrant, according to an Animal Services incident report.
