At Home opens in Rogers

At Home Group Inc. opened its newest location Monday at 3551 S. 27th St. in Rogers. The Rogers store joins a Little Rock site as the company's two Arkansas locations.

The 108,000-square-foot store offers more than 50,000 home decor items, from furniture and housewares to tabletop, patio and seasonal decor. At Home features more than 100 varieties of artificial Christmas trees, indoor and outdoor decorations, theme ornaments and accessories for entertaining.

The Rogers At Home is one of more than 25 new store openings across the United States this year for the home decor chain and brings 25 jobs to Northwest Arkansas.

Holiday store hours through Dec. 9 are 9 a.m.-11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 9 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday.

At Home is headquartered in Plano, Texas, and operates nearly 150 stores in 34 states.

Beall Barclay & Co. wins award

The Arkansas Society of CPAs will honor Beall Barclay & Co. with its Public Service Award for Firms on Dec. 7 at the group's annual awards reception in Little Rock. The award is designed to encourage more CPA firms to initiate or increase their community activities, publicize those activities and reinforce the profession's reputation for commitment to the public.

Beall Barclay offers a broad range of services, including accounting, tax services and wealth management. The company began in Fort Smith in 1963 by Bill Beall, and co-founders Roy Vail and Charles Coleman. Dick Barclay started in the accounting profession in 1961, and was one of the founding partners of Barclay, Yarbrough & Evans in Rogers. In 1997 the two firms merged to become Beall Barclay.

Beall Barclay is a Partner in Education with Bonneville Elementary in Fort Smith and Grace Hill Elementary School in Rogers. One staff member serves as a community representative for the Arkansas Consolidated School Improvement Plan and attends meetings with the school principal and other business leaders to discuss the school's budget and goals.

The firm supports the United Way with activities throughout the year. Last year, the firm's members spent an estimated total of 1,443 pro bono hours serving in volunteer and civic capacities.

Plaza Imaging earns accreditation

Washington Regional's Plaza Imaging Center in Fayetteville was awarded a three-year accreditation in computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging as the result of a recent review by the American College of Radiology.

Plaza Imaging Center -- in the William L. Bradley Medical Plaza adjacent to Washington Regional Medical Center -- opened in April.

The American College of Radiology's gold seal of accreditation is awarded to facilities meeting the group's practice parameters and technical standards after a peer-review evaluation.

Goddard School opens

A new preschool in Fayetteville focuses on STEAM subjects -- science, technology, engineering, art and math. The Goddard School, 3916 N. Bellafont Blvd., celebrated its grand opening Nov. 11.

The Northwest Arkansas location is owned by Brooks Coatney and has a staff of 21.

The preschool has 105 students enrolled for the spring semester and offers programs for children ranging from infants to kindergartners.
