Brielle Blaire scored 16 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and had 4 assists and was one of five players with at least 10 points in the Red Raiders victory over the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluf in Lubbock, Texas.

Dayo Olabode finished with 15 points and nine rebounds. Brittany Brewer had 12 points and 5 rebounds. Recee Caldwell had 11 points and five assists. Jada Terry had 10 points for the Red Raiders (2-1).

Texas Tech shot 41.0 percent (25 of 61) from the floor and made 18 of 28 free throws. The Red Raiders outrebounded UAPB 44-32, forced 18 turnovers and scored 24 points off turnovers.

Malik Muhammad led UAPB (2-1) with 14 points. Destiny Brewton had 11 points and four rebounds. The Golden Lions were held to 32.1 percent (18 of 56), field-goal shooting.

Texas Tech led 21-14 after the first quarter, 44-27 at halftime and 60-39 after three quarters.

Jordan Howard scored 27 points, Hayden Koval added 22 and the University of Central Arkansas beat Alcorn State on Sunday in Conway.

Howard made four three-pointers with the Bears (2-2) shooting 11 of 23 from three-point range and 55 percent overall. Thatch Unruh added 14 points and five assists and Ethan Lee had 12 points and seven rebounds.

A.J. Mosby, Reginal Johnson and Troymain Crosby scored 14 points apiece for the Braves (0-5).

The Bears went ahead by double figures to stay on Koval’s three-pointer less than six minutes into the game. Central Arkansas led 52-30 at halftime. The Bears were involved in a 100-point game for the third time this season, losing to No. 24 Baylor 107-66 and No. 23 UCLA 106-101. They beat the University of the Ozarks 99-51 in their other game.
