New Eagle Scouts

Carson Jefford, 15, is the son of Ron Jefford and Kelley Brockinton of Sherwood. He is a member of Troop 259 at Sylvan Hills Church of Christ in Sherwood. For his Eagle Project, Carson designed and built plant beds to display historically appropriate plants at Reed's Bridge Battlefield Site in Jacksonville.

Max Rike, 17, is the son of Andrew and April Rike of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 30 at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Little Rock. For his Eagle Project, Max led a group in the renovation of the exterior face of the church's annex including restriping the parking lot and setting parking curbs.

Trace Freeman, 15, is the son of David and Melissa Freeman of Vilonia. He is a member of Troop 444 at Vilonia United Methodist Church. For his Eagle Project, Trace constructed two raised vegetable garden beds at Vilonia United Methodist Church to provide produce for the Spirit of Vilonia Food Pantry.

William Hill, 18, is the son of French and Martha Hill of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 30 at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Little Rock. For his Eagle Project, William led a group in rebuilding a water cooler, building a bench, and remulching a garden bed at First Tee of Central Arkansas.

Luke Walls, 18, is the son of Bruce and Leigh Walls of Conway. He is a member of Troop 392 at Peace Lutheran Church in Conway. For his Eagle Project, Luke built an auditory sensory wall and iPad stands for special needs children at the Arkansas Pediatric Facility in North Little Rock.

Charles Cagle, 15, is the son of Chuck and Juanita Cagle of Walnut Ridge. He is a member of Troop 134 at Community Fellowship Church in Jonesboro. For his Eagle Project, Charles built five picnic tables for an outdoor educational classroom at Hoxie Elementary School in Hoxie.

Micah Stafford, 17, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Stafford of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 29 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Little Rock. For his Eagle Project, Micah built five stability chairs with interlocking activity chairs with interlocking activity tables for infants at Easter Seals of Arkansas.

Chris Gay, 15, is the son of Russell and Linda Gay of North Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 18 at First United Methodist Church in North Little Rock. For his Eagle Project, Chris led a group of 15 scouts in the restoration of the basketball park under the Interstate 30 bridge in North Little Rock.

Thomas Selden, 16, is the son of George and Doreen Selden of Jonesboro. He is a member of Troop 4 at Blessed Sacrament Church in Jonesboro. For his Eagle Project, Thomas led a team in revamping the website for Camp Quality of Arkansas, which is a summer camp and support program for children who have experienced cancer.

Troy Mabie, 17, is the son of of Holly Mabie of Heber Springs. He is a member of Troop 200 at First United Methodist Church in Heber Springs. For his Eagle Project, Troy landscaped the parking area for the Greers Ferry National Fish Hatchery in Heber Springs.

Will Spohn, 18, is the son of Chuck and Becky Spohn of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 227 at Calvary Baptist Church in Little Rock. For his Eagle Project, Will built and installed four little libraries (external book houses) for Wildwood Park for the Arts in Little Rock.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette would like to recognize the accomplishments of new Eagle Scouts by publishing their profiles and pictures.
