U.S. 67 crash kills Arkansas woman

A Randolph County woman died and two other people were injured Friday after a vehicle hit a guardrail and then struck a pickup head-on, according to a preliminary report from Arkansas State Police.

Angela Poteet, 36, of Biggers was driving north on U.S. 67 near Engleberg Road shortly after noon Friday when her 2002 Ford Focus hit the guardrail, according to the report.

Her vehicle then crossed into the southbound lane and hit the 2009 GMC pickup driven by Keith Joseph Carmouche of Marksville, La., state police said.

Poteet was killed. Carmouche, 34, and his passenger Quintin Green, 24, of Ball, La., were injured, state police said, but the report did not detail the extent of their injuries.

The weather was clear, and roads were dry at the time of the crash, state police reported.
