A child and a woman were shot and injured Thursday night in Little Rock, according to a police spokesman.

Little Rock officers were dispatched at 9:20 p.m. to 2618 Lewis St. regarding a report of a shooting that had just occurred, according to an online dispatch log.

Lt. Michael Ford said a woman and a boy had both been shot in the leg.

F̶o̶r̶d̶ ̶s̶a̶i̶d̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶s̶h̶o̶o̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶v̶i̶c̶t̶i̶m̶s̶ ̶w̶e̶r̶e̶ ̶m̶o̶t̶h̶e̶r̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶c̶h̶i̶l̶d̶.̶* Police said the victims were a woman and her grandson.

He said it was unclear Thursday night whether police had a suspect in custody. Two ambulances left the shooting scene Thursday night, and one of the people was seen being carried to an ambulance on a stretcher.

No further information about the shooting was available Thursday night.
