Sheriff's Office arrest Huntsville man for providing contraband to inmates

FAYETTEVILLE -- The Washington County Sheriff's Office arrested jailer Donnie Worley, 41, of Huntsville on Tuesday evening in connection with providing contraband to inmates.

Worley was an employee at the Sheriff's Office for less than six months, according to a news release from the office.

He said he brought two cans of dipping snuff to the jail for an inmate, according to a probable cause affidavit. Worley faces charges of furnishing prohibited articles, which is a felony.

He was released from the Washington County Detention Center on Wednesday afternoon after being held with no bond set.
