Two Northwest Arkansas women died in accidents on state roads since Monday, according to preliminary reports from the Arkansas State Police.

A West Fork woman was killed late Tuesday when the vehicle she was driving ran off a state highway, hit a boulder and overturned, the state police said.

It happened about 11:10 p.m. on Arkansas 265 near Fairview Lane southeast of Fayetteville in Washington County, according to the report.

State police said Brittney Hampton, 37, was driving a 2014 Chevrolet north when she crossed the southbound lanes at a curve. The vehicle then ran down an embankment, struck a boulder and overturned, the report said.

Hampton suffered fatal injuries, but no one else was listed as being hurt.

The weather at the time was said to be clear and roads were dry.

On Monday, an 18-year-old Pea Ridge resident died and another woman was hurt in a head-on collision, state police reported.

Authorities said Amber Kalberloh was driving east on Arkansas 72, west of Pea Ridge in Benton County, when her 2010 Chevrolet Aveo crossed the centerline about 9 a.m. and struck a 2015 Jeep Wrangler headed west, state police said.

Kalberloh was killed, according to the report.

The Jeep's driver -- Ramona Morgan, 49, also from Pea Ridge -- was taken to Mercy Hospital in Rogers.

It was cloudy at the time of the crash, but roads were dry, the state police reported.
