Officers nab man in shooting of son at Little Rock apartment complex

Authorities on Wednesday arrested a 43-year-old man suspected of shooting his son at a Little Rock apartment complex last month, according to a police report.

Michael Lee Nelson was arrested Wednesday morning at 2019 Moss. St., in North Little Rock, according to the report. He is accused of shooting his 22-year-old son, Demarcus Quince, who was wounded early Oct. 29 at the apartment complex at 5001 W. 65th St., police said.

An arrest report said Nelson was homeless.

Police charged Nelson with first-degree domestic battery and possession of firearms by certain persons. He was listed on the Pulaski County jail inmate roster Wednesday night.
