Grisham right; Dreamers deserve protection

Grisham right; Dreamers deserve protection

What a wonderful column by Lowell Grisham in the Oct. 17 Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. I was so glad he included Micah 6:8 in the Scriptures quoted. My late wife Freda used this verse as a guide for living. Freda especially liked the King James version, which reads: "He hath shewed thee, o man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?"

I have pondered the problem of the "Dreamers" or DACA's who were brought here illegally by their parents as children and know no other country except the United States of America. I believe we should show them mercy and allow them to stay without worry until Congress acts. If Congress does not act, then President Trump should issue (reissue?) an executive order extending their stays.

It would be heartless, even cruel, to deport them, and they should be given permanent residence.
