A seminar on American Indian code talkers is among activities scheduled this month in observance of the 100th anniversary of World War I, as sanctioned by the Arkansas World War I Centennial Commemoration Committee.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will host the "Untold Stories: American Indian Code Talkers of World War I Symposium," beginning at 9 a.m. today, and the unveiling of a code talkers exhibit at the Sequoyah National Research Center on campus.
"Two Soldiers and a Nurse: Drennen-Scott in the Great War," a program on the World War I activities of the descendants of John Drennen, co-founder of Van Buren, is scheduled for Sunday at the Drennen-Scott Historic Site in Van Buren.
Five Henderson State University students and one faculty member who died in World War I will be honored on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, with a rededication of the World War I Memorial Holly Grove, to be held on the south lawn at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia.
The Arkansas World War I Centennial Commemoration Committee is part of the state Department of Heritage.
